Police suspect foul play after missing man's SUV found abandoned in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police say they suspect foul play in the case of man who was reported missing from north Columbus a month ago after his SUV had been found abandoned earlier this week.

According to Columbus police, 36-year-old Dhan Bir Sarki was last seen in the area of Tamarack Circle on April 18 at 2:30 a.m. after dropping off a friend in the area. He did not return home and has not been seen or heard from since.

Sarki, who is from the Dayton area, was last seen driving a gray 2017 Toyota RAV 4 with Ohio tag HUV3532.

In an update provided on Friday, police say Sarki's "moderately damaged" vehicle was found in the 5000 block of Westerville Road at 4:30 p.m. on May 18.

Witnesses said it was left there several weeks ago by people not believed to be him, according to police.

Police say Sarki is still missing and they suspect foul play in the case.

Sarki is described to have black hair, black eyes, 5'4" tall and 140 pounds.

Police say he was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a leather jacket.
