COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police are investigating after a man told detectives that he was shot while asleep at a park.
Columbus police say at approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday, the victim arrived at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware with a gunshot wound to his chest.
According to police, the victim told Delaware detectives that he was shot in a park on the west side of Columbus while he was asleep.
Police did not go into detail on exactly where or when the victim was shot or how the victim ended up at the hospital in Delaware. He was later transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.
The circumstances of the shooting are under investigation.
