COLUMBUS -- Columbus police are looking for answers about an identity theft that happened in Genoa Township in late September.
On September 26, a man walked into 5/3 Bank, posing as a victim who owns a Florida business with a branch in Cincinnati.
He withdrew $4,000 from the business account, filled out a counter check and withdrew another $3,000. The man also provided a fake Florida ID with the business owner's information.
Police also say it's possible the suspect has committed two similar offenses in Cincinnati.
