Police identify man shot and killed at south Columbus bar

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- One person is dead after a shooting at a south Columbus bar, according to Columbus police.

Officers were called just before 1:45 a.m. Saturday to TK Sports Bar at 3505 Parsons Avenue parking lot after a report of a shooting near Williams Road.

When they arrived on the scene, police found Joseph Fisher, 27, lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Fisher was later pronounced dead at 2:23 a.m.

According to a release, the initial investigation revealed that the suspect was involved in a minor altercation with people in the bar earlier that night, the suspect left and returned with a handgun. Witnesses told officers that the suspect shot Fisher and fled the area.

Police have a person of interest and are working to locate that individual.
