COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash in south Columbus on Wednesday.
Officers were called to the 1800 block of Williams Road, between Groveport Road and Alum Creek Drive, around 5:40 p.m.
Matthew Smith, 35, was riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle eastbound on Williams Road at Speedway Lane when he collided with another vehicle who was attempting to enter Williams Road from a private drive.
Smith was ejected from the motorcycle and taken to OhioHealth Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m.
This crash remains under investigation.
