Police ID victims, suspect in deadly northeast Columbus stabbings

The Columbus Division of Police has released the IDs of the victims in a quadruple stabbing and a police-involved shooting Monday in Northeast Columbus.

COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Division of Police has released the IDs of the victims and suspect in a quadruple stabbing and a police-involved shooting Monday in northeast Columbus.

The suspect was identified as Abadi Gebregziber, 64, who died at Riverside Hospital.

Alganesh Gebrezgabiher, a 51-year-old female, remains in life-threatening condition at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Selam Habte, 18, and Azeb Demewez, 33, both females, were pronounced dead Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Riverside, respectively.

Russom Habte, a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead at 2103 Fitzroy Drive.

Selam and Russom were brother and sister, the children of Alganesh.
