Newark police say a former accountant stole more than $150,000 from St Francis de Sales Parish.
Police opened an investigation into 39-year-old Amber McCracken in August 2016.
McCracken acknowledged she stole over $100,000 in parish funds.
During the investigation, additional money was identified. In all, it totaled more than $150,000 stolen funds.
McCracken was arrested on March 14 and taken to the Licking County Justice Center.
The case is being forwarded to the Licking County Prosecutor's Office for review of formal charges.
