Driver dies after car crashes into northeast Columbus building

The crash happened just after 5 a.m. at the intersection of N. Hamilton Road and Thompson Road.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was killed after their car crashed into an Edward Jones building in northeast Columbus Monday morning. 

According to Columbus police, the crash happened just after 5 a.m. at the intersection of N. Hamilton Road and Thompson Road.

Dispatchers told 10TV the driver was pronounced dead at 5:17 a.m. 

N. Hamilton Road was briefly closed between Thompson Road and Blendon Place Drive, but has since reopened. 

The cause of the crash is unknown.
