COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person has died following a shooting in the Hilltop neighborhood Thursday evening.
The Columbus Division of Police said officers were called to the 2400 block of Eakin Road for a report of a person shot around 7:45 p.m.
Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the person dead 10 minutes later.
In an update Friday, police said it is believed that the shooting victim took their own life.
