10TV Sports Anchor Dom Tiberi has been awarded a COSI STEM Star Award and has been named a Grand Marshal for the inaugural COSI Science Festival.

The award was presented to Dom by Dublin Mayor Greg Peterson and COSI Vice President Stephen White.

“We are honored to nominate Mr. Tiberi because of his tireless work to shape the next generation around the dangers of distracted driving. We are excited to partner with COSI to highlight his work during the upcoming COSI Science Festival activities in Dublin and beyond,” said Dublin Mayor Greg Peterson.

The City of Dublin nominated Dom for his leadership in educating high school students and their families on the dangers of distracted driving.

On September 17, 2013, Dom lost his daughter Maria in a crash that was linked to distracted driving.

Dom and his wife Terri created the Maria Tiberi Foundation, which has donated driving simulators to high schools, police departments and other organizations.

To date, Dom has delivered more than 100 Maria’s Message presentations to students across central Ohio.

Take the pledge, help put an end to distracted driving.
