FINDLAY, Ohio — An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper died from a self-inflicted gunshot while on duty in late July, the Hancock County Coroner’s Office confirmed.
Sergeant Jared Ulinski was found dead at Findlay Post in northwest Ohio on July 31. The coroner's office confirmed his cause of death to WTOL 11 on Monday. His death remains under investigation.
Ulinski served with the OSHP for more than two decades. He was a member of the 134th Academy Class back in June of 1999.
