Highland County Sheriff's Office apprehends escaped inmate

The Highland County Sheriff's Office said a man who escaped from custody on Thursday has been apprehended.

HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio - The Highland County Sheriff's Office said a man who escaped from custody on Thursday has been apprehended.

The sheriff's office said 37-year-old Johnny Branham was able to escape custody while at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro around 5 p.m.

Branham was being held on a charge of contempt.

Highland County borders Fayette, Ross, and Pike Counties.
