COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio National Guard announced on Wednesday that it is pulling out of Columbus after being stationed for nearly two weeks.

According to the National Guard, all soldiers stationed in Columbus and Cleveland have returned to their home stations.

Nearly 1,200 soldiers were stationed between the two cities, the National Guard says.

Gov. Mike DeWine ordered the National Guard to be deployed on May 30 to assist in law enforcement, traffic control and critical infrastructure protection.

Mayor Andrew Ginther lifted the curfew on Columbus on Saturday after 10 days of it being in effect.
