The body of a 7-year-old has been found after falling from a boat at Salt Fork State Park on Sunday.
According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Afton Taylor of North Canton was boating with his family when he fell.
Officers with ODNR conducted a sonar search of the lake and Ohio State Highway Patrol searched by air. The search was suspended at midnight.
The search resumed Monday morning and the body was found in a slow-zone near the shore at Salt Fork Marina at 9:15 a.m.
Officials said the boy was not wearing a life jacket.
ODNR recommends all children on any boat wear a life jacket. More information on life jackets from ODNR can be found here.
They also said all boaters should remember to sit, stand and walk on designated places on the boat while the boat is underway and only swim in designated areas.
