Three Ohio Veteran Service organizations have come together to help active military members visit the National Veterans Memorial and Museum by offering free admission.
The Ohio Department of AMVETS Service Foundation, the American Legion Department of Ohio Charities and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ohio charities will fund the admission and parking costs for all active military personnel starting Feb. 1 through the end of 2019, the museum announced Friday.
"We thank the leaders of AMVETS, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars for this generous gift to support active military and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum," said Lieutenant General Michael Ferriter, President and CEO for the museum.
