COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a murder that happened in January of this year.
David Lynch, 40, is accused of killing 38-year-old Christopher Kirby.
He was arrested Tuesday morning and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Police went to the 1100 block of Smith Road near Lockbourne Road after a report of shots fired around 10 p.m. on January 7.
When police arrived, officers found Kirby lying in a driveway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said multiple shots were fired.
This was the fifth homicide in Columbus in 2020.
