DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio — The Delaware post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a semi that happened Thursday morning.
According to troopers, the crash happened on U.S. 36 at Ostrander Road in Scioto Township around 10:40 a.m.
A semi-truck was traveling on U.S. 36 when 48-year-old Michael Curley failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the semi.
The driver of the semi was taken to Memorial Hospital of Union County and treated for minor injuries.
Curley was flown to Grant Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Both drivers were wearing a seat belt and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
