Columbus police arrested a man for allegedly trying to stab three people along the Olentangy Trail Thursday morning.

Columbus police arrested a man for allegedly trying to stab three people along the Olentangy Trail Thursday morning.

One man biking on the trail told dispatchers he was attacked by a man with a knife as he passed him.

Two other women reported the same incident telling police the man was jabbing the knife in front of them and mumbling.

One of those women told a 911 dispatcher she saw the suspect attack the biker, and throw his bike into the road, which was hit by a car.

Officer were able to find the man and arrest him. He was identified as Christopher Michael Boswell of Westerville.

He has been charged with one count of felony assault and aggravated robbery.

Thursday’s report is similar to another report filed a week ago involving two women who told police they were threatened by a man with a knife near King Avenue.

Police have not said whether that case and the one Thursday are related.
