Human remains found in Coshocton County identified as missing man

Walter Westfall was reported missing in March 2019. The remains were found in April 2020 and his death is still under investigation.

COSHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio — The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a man whose remains were found earlier this year.

The sheriff's office identified the man as Walter "Pat" Westfall, who was reported missing in March 2019.

Westfall was 40 years old and was last seen near in the 800 block of Beech Street in Coshocton, near where he lived, on March 19, 2019.

Human remains were found on Township Road 262 in Oxford Township in Coshocton County on April 10, 2020.

The sheriff's office released the identity of the remains on July 1 and said Westfall's disappearance and death are still under investigation.
