Columbus police searching for 2 teens accused of stealing vehicle, leading officers on high-speed chase

Police said the teens involved in the chase remain at large and are potential suspects in a homicide case.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for two teenage boys who were allegedly involved in a high-speed chase that ended near the Linden area Friday morning.

The chase reportedly started around 4 a.m. Police said the juveniles, who are potential homicide suspects, were flagged for driving more than 100 mph on multiple interstates across central Ohio.

The Columbus Division of Police, the Hilliard Division of Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the chase.

Police said the chase ended in the 1300 block of St. Clair Avenue east of Cleveland Avenue.

Officers at the scene confirmed to 10TV that the vehicle involved in the chase was stolen. 10TV crews witnessed the original owner recover the vehicle from the scene.  

The juveniles remain at large. Additional information was not immediately available.
