GROVE CITY, Ohio -- Grove City police and the South-Western City School District placed 15 schools on lockdown Tuesday due to a reported threat.
Police did not give a description of the threat, saying only that it was "vague."
Out of an abundance of caution, parents were notified and the schools issued a "stay in place" order, meaning no students were allowed outside of the buildings.
Authorities later deemed the threat "not credible" and the lockdowns were lifted just before 9 a.m.
Grove City police arrested 18-year-old Hunter Borror in connection to the alleged threat. He is charged with one count of inducing panic and is currently being held in the Franklin County Corrections Center.
Borror is a former student in the district.
