1 dead in northeast Columbus shooting; police searching for 2 suspects

According to police, the shooting happened in the 1400 block of Sunbury Road near Holt Avenue on Labor Day.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police has filed arrest warrants for two men wanted in a fatal shooting on Labor Day on the city's northeast side.

According to police, officers went to the Sunbury Market, located at 1485 Sunbury Road, on a reported shooting around 2:50 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found 20-year-old Dezujwuan Pyfrom with a gunshot wound. Pryfrom was pronounced dead shortly after 3 p.m.

Authorities say as Pryfrom was parking his truck at the market, two men began firing at the truck. The suspects then left the scene in a black Dodge Charger.

On Wednesday, police said 22-year-olds Tylan Sims and Adonis Walker have been charged with murder.
