Dublin City Schools are asking taxpayers for more money. The school board voted to put a levy on the ballot in November.

The district said enrollment has increased by 2,400 students in the last 10 years and 3000 more students are expected in the next 10 years.

The issue is a 5.9 mil operating levy along with no new millage bond and operating levies.

The plan would be to build two new elementary schools and a middle school, build additions on the high schools, create a centralized preschool in the current administration building, and do $95 million in renovations to all district schools.

The levy would mean a property tax increase of $207 per $100,000 of house value.
