COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police say a 14-year-old boy has passed away after a shooting early Friday.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on Rich Street near Dana Avenue.
Police said Elijah Copley was riding a scooter on Rich Street with another boy when two people shot at them.
Copley was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was shot once. Police said Friday afternoon that Copley had passed away.
The other boy, 15, was not hurt.
Police did not have any suspect descriptions to provide.
