A 26-day-old baby, who died in April, had cocaine and methadone in her system, according to the Franklin County Coroner's Office.

She is the youngest victim of the drug epidemic hitting Franklin County.

Loucia Kinsell was born April 1, 2017 and died April 27, 2017.

The baby’s aunt said the mother has been in treatment for a heroin addiction for more than a year. That treatment includes taking methadone.

“She followed through, she went to her meetings, she went to her appointments, she did it all,” Brittany Ward said.

The family was not aware the baby’s mother was taking other drugs. It is unclear how the drugs got in the baby’s system.

Ward said her sister was breastfeeding the infant.

The report shows Kinsell was in bed with her parents. Ward said her sister had just breastfed the baby a few hours earlier, when the parents woke up, they found her unresponsive.

Columbus Police are not releasing details of the investigation.
