COLUMBUS, Ohio — A child is in critical condition after falling into a large retention pond in northeast Columbus, according to fire officials.
Officials say the incident happened Thursday afternoon on Valkenier Parkway.
When the Columbus Division of Fire arrived, the child was out of the water and CPR was being performed.
The child was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
There's no word on how the child fell into the pond.
