WESTERVILLE -- Many businesses across central Ohio are doing what they can to help support and raise money for the families of two Westerville police officers killed in the line of duty a week ago.
“I was heartbroken,” James Anderson, owner of Ray Ray’s Hog Pit said.
“I have a family, too, and I couldn’t imagine what they are going through.”
This weekend, all three Ray Ray’s locations are giving away pork sandwiches free of charge, but donations are encouraged.
Columbus based Traxler Printing offered free thin blue line t-shirts and stickers so neighbors could show their support.
At the beer brewing supply store Buckeye BrewCraft in uptown Westerville, proceeds from a homebrewing competition are going to the family of the fallen officers.
More than 300 gallons of the brew will later be mass produced and named Westerville blue.
