Police identify man, woman killed in South Franklinton shooting

The shooting happened at the intersection of South Souder Avenue and West Mound Street around 3:30 a.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police released the identities of the man and woman killed in a shooting in the South Franklinton neighborhood early Sunday morning. 

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of South Souder Avenue and West Mound Street around 3:30 a.m. following a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located three victims in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the victims, 27-year-old David Thomas and 28-year-old Ziyadah Brown, were taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, and later died. The third victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and is described as "stable."

Columbus police said no arrests have been made. At this time, it's unclear what led to the shooting.
