COLUMBUS, Ohio— A child is in critical condition after a near-drowning in northeast Columbus.
According to police, officers were called to Royal Crescent around 1:45 Friday afternoon on a report of a drowning.
Columbus Division of Fire Battalion Chief Steve Martin tells 10TV that the victim is 18-months-old.
Officers and medics were able get the child out of the water and administer CPR.
The 18-month-old was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
The scene remains under investigation.
