COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 23-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash in northwest Columbus Tuesday morning.
Columbus police said the crash happened just before 2 a.m.
Police said Courtney Nabors Jr. was driving south on Sawmill Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control after passing through the Bethel Road intersection.
Nabors slid sideways across the northbound lanes and hit a stone business sign.
He was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital and later died.
Police said Sawmill Road between Bethel Road and Henderson Road was closed but has since reopened.
