Columbus police have confirmed to 10TV that lights visible across the sky in Franklin, Pickaway and surrounding counties were caused by a sky diving light show at Scioto Downs.
An advertisement on the Scioto Downs facebook page also promoted an event for Saturday, July 6 with the description “Meteor Shower Sky Diving show by Fastrax Professional Skydiving Team."
Columbus police told 10TV they confirmed that four skydivers were part of the show.
The skydivers reportedly jumped from 14,000 feet.
