One person has died in a rollover crash on I-71 southbound near State Route 61 in Morrow County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

I-71 south has reopened after being closed at the 140 mile marker Saturday evening.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the single-car crash happened around 6:15 P.M. Saturday on I-71 southbound, just north of State Route 61 in Morrow County.

The Highway Patrol reported 46-year-old Joseph Lindsey, 42-year-old Dion Holmes, 39-year-old William Johnson, 32-year-old Kenneth Langhorne, and 31-year-old Jovan Johnson were inside a 2002 Ford Explorer.

The Highway Patrol reported the vehicle was traveling southbound on I-71 and swerved from the left lane to the right lane in the direction of the S.R. 61 exit ramp and overturned multiple times.  All five victims were ejected from the vehicle.

Jovan Johnson was killed in the crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Joseph Lindsey was taken to Grant Medical Center in serious condition. Dion Holmes was also taken to Grand Medical Center, and was expected to make a full recovery.

William Johnson and Kenneth Langhorne were both flown to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Hospital officials said Johnson was expected to recover and Langhorne was in critical condition.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said both speed and alcohol were considered contributing factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by The Mt. Gilead State Patrol Post
