Hilliard Church Vandalized With Swastika, Satanic Images

Workers are trying to remove the negative images that cover a Hilliard church. Get details.

The Parkside Community Church was vandalized Thursday night.

The building, located in the 5500 block of Hyde Park Drive, and parking lot were defaced with a swastika, 10TV's Tanisha Mallett reported.

The numbers 666 and an upside down cross were also written on the church property. An angel was removed from its foundation, Mallett reported.

Reverend Frank Lee said he did not take it personally.

"This could happen anywhere," Lee said. "We are going to pray for the people who did this.  There is probably something going on there that needs help and I hope that they find it."

Lee said what hurt the most was that the statue was knocked down.  He said it was a place primarily for the children.

By early afternoon on Friday restoration crews were cleaning the property up.

Police were investigating who did it and Lee said his congregation will pray for the vandals.

"We are lucky to be in Hilliard it is a great community and we are really going to pray for the folks who did this," Lee said.
