One central Ohio neighborhood is filling their families with hope and committing to be fit at the same time.
While kids are out of school and many parents are expected to work from home, the Shores neighborhood in Lewis Center is finding time to get outside.
Each day at 10 a.m. a mix of adults and kids meets up to ride bikes around the neighborhood.
The crew keeps their distance for safety and discourages anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms from joining.
But for those who do attend, it makes all the difference during these unusual times.
“It’s just a fun way to get out and we have some people who can't ride but they're enjoying seeing us go by,” said Lara Kretler. “You know, we'll wave to them and ring our bells, so it's just a way to bring the community together at a time when we have to also stay apart.”
The group organized on Facebook and say it’s something any neighborhood can do to beat the blues that come from being limited at home.
