15th Season of ‘Big Brother’ Includes Hilliard Contestant

The latest addition of Big Brother premieres Wednesday night and a central Ohio resident will be part of the action.

Wednesday’s premiere of Big Brothers’ 15th season has a true Columbus connection.

Nick Uhas is originally from Hilliard and is one of the 16 contestants battling for the $500,000 grand prize.

Nick moved to New York after completing college to pursue an acting career. He has had roles in some minor films, but ‘Big Brother’ is his first major network television opportunity.

His older brother, Adam Uhas, lives in Columbus. He says he is excited to watch his brother on television.

“I’m probably more nervous than he is right now,” Adam Uhas said.

He added that he has not spoken to Nick since Friday afternoon, when the production staff took away his phone and internet access.

“They really are isolated; they took his cell phone. He can’t get on any social media – Facebook, email,” added Adam.

Nick graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School where he was a competitive wrestler. He attended Miami University as a pre-med major.

Both Nick and Adam had a unique opportunity right after high school that Adam thinks will help his brother during the show.

“We traveled west for three months, so we traveled the world in 78 days,” Adam said.

He added that Nick has traveled a lot and has had a lot of unique experiences.

“He’s had a lot of things in life that he can bring to the show,” Adam said.

Adam is having a small viewing party with his friends tonight. The show premieres at 8 PM on 10TV.
