Police: Woman robbed and kidnapped near Goodale Park

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police are investigating an incident where a woman was robbed and kidnapped in an area near Goodale Park Thursday morning. 

According to police, a woman was approached by a man demanding money near a garage on East Russell Street around 9:30 a.m.

The victim was ordered into her car and the suspect drove to a bank in the area of West Broad Street and Central Avenue. The suspect ordered the victim to withdrawal money from the ATM.

The suspect drove off from the bank with the victim until the victim was able to flee the vehicle on Sullivant Avenue near Souder Avenue. 

The suspect fled in the victim's vehicle.

Police are looking for a red, two-door, Ford Focus with Ohio license plate number FPU-1511. The car should have damage to the passenger side mirror. 

The suspect is a black male in his 40s. He is about 6 feet tall with a medium build and bald. He was last seen wearing a white, medical mask, black tanktop and green or gray shorts.
