Police: Teen charged after 15-year-old boy shot in Linden area

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police arrested a 15-year-old boy accused of shooting another teen.

On Tuesday, just after 5 p.m., officers went to the 1500 block of Kohr Place in the Linden neighborhood on a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they found another 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound.

Police say the teen who was shot stated he was in an upstairs bedroom with several other kids. According to officials, the 15-year-old who was arrested admitted that he was holding a .38 revolver when he accidentally fired a shot, which hit the victim.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The 15-year-old boy who was arrested is charged with assault.
