Dublin and Hilliard police departments have received a number of recent calls about mail being stolen from residents' mailboxes.

According to Dublin police, on April 16, officers received two calls to report mail being stolen from mailboxes along Nassau Loop.

A witness said that he observed a suspicious vehicle in the area. The vehicle was described as an older model green van driven by a black woman.

On the morning of April 22, Hilliard police received a call from a resident who said that he saw a black female in a green van pull up to his mailbox. The woman opened the mailbox, looked at the mail and drove off, without taking
anything.

The resident took a picture of the van and said it appeared as though it was 1996 Plymouth green minivan with gray lower trim. The van did not have a front license plate and was missing a fuel door on the driver's side, police
said.

Anyone with information about the van or the thefts is asked to call Dublin police at 614-889-1112.
