A man called the "Craigslist Con Man" by the city attorney's office has allegedly struck again.

Chad Edward Crosby, 30, of Mifflin Township is currently on the run from authorities.

Columbus City Attorney Richard Pfeiffer says Crosby has struck at least twice over the last 18 months.

Crosby posts Craigslist ads offering low-cost engine repair services. In the latest case, Crosby offered to repair a rotoriller and reciprocator. He picked up the equipment and took three advance payments of $220 each. He said the money was needed for parts. He then disappeared with the money and the equipment.

Anyone who may have been scammed by Crosby, or who may have information on his current location, is asked to contact First Assistant City Prosecutor Bill Hedrick at 614.645.8874 or brhedrick@columbus.gov.
