MARION, Ohio — The US Marshals Office arrested a man in Michigan who is charged with murder for a Marion County shooting from last year.
Officers with the Marion Police Department responded to the 500 block of Adams Street for a reported shooting just after midnight on Aug. 20, 2022.
Upon arrival, officers found 17-year-old Anthony Jamear Douglas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Douglas was taken to Marion General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, 18-year-old Marquis Deshun Adams, was arrested on Wednesday, according Marion Police Chief Jay McDonald.
Adams is being held in Detroit until he can be extradited back to Marion.
