Chris Bradley's husband, Jason, wins Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Man of the Year award

Jason Bradley-Krauss won the award after raising more than $139,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Former 10TV Chief Meteorologist Chris Bradley's husband, Jason Bradley-Krauss, has won the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Man of the Year" award.

Jason accepted the Columbus Chapter's nomination earlier this year to keep Chris' memory and love alive.

Bradley was diagnosed with Leukemia in March 2017. Chris passed away at the age of 53 on Dec. 5, 2018.

The nomination came with a 10-week fundraising effort that started on April 1. Each dollar donated served as a vote.

Jason said he wanted to raise $100,000. Instead, he raised $139,000. The event raised over $360,000.

Jason said the campaign allowed him to share stories of hope and have faith in action.

"Love is the greatest gift we can give and the greatest gift we can receive," Jason said. "I pray the funds will help patients in a mighty way."

In April, Jason told us he didn't accept the nomination for the title, but he is doing it so that something good can from the journey he found themselves walking through and so he can help find a cure.

Jason and Chris were together for 23 years.
