The Columbus Zoo is asking for funding help for the new Safari Africa exhibit.
Officials are seeking money from the Delaware Port Authority to help fund the planned 43 acre exhibit.
Crews broke ground last year on the facility, which will feature lions, cheetahs, a giraffe-feeding area and a zip line.
It would not be the first time the Port Authority helped the zoo. They helped finance the Polar Bear exhibit several years ago.
