Chipotle is looking to spice up its menu – and you can be one of the first to try it!
On Wednesday, the company added chorizo to its menu in select cities. It is a spicy blend of chicken and sausage, seasoned with paprika, cumin and chipotle peppers.
Lucky for you, Columbus is one of those test markets along with select locations in New York City, Sacramento, San Diego, Denver and Dulles Intl Airport.
Chorizo will be available in burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads and can be combined with your favorite Chipotle ingredients.
Meantime, on Monday, the company announced a three-month program offering free food after four qualifying visits. The program has three levels - mild, medium, and hot.
Four, $6 purchases a month gets you one free entree and mild status. Eight gets you another entree and medium status, and then 11 gets you another free entree and hot status.
You also get free chips and guac on your first purchase with the card.
If you achieve hot status for all three months, you'll get free catering for $20.
The program launches July first and runs through September.
