A 79-year-old Lancaster man was killed after being hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle Monday.
Ohio State Highway Patrol said the accident happened on CR-86 in Berne Township just after 2 p.m.
Ralph R. Conrad was riding a bicycle southbound when he was struck from behind by a 2007 Chevy Impala.
The impact caused Conrad to go off the roadway and ejected him from the bike. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Conrad was flown to Grant Hospital where he later died.
Highway Patrol said alcohol was not a factor in the crash and it remains under investigation.
