Neighbors Forced To Flee When Flames Engulf Vacant Home


Neighbors were forced from their homes after a vacant home caught fire Friday morning.

Community crime patrollers spotted the fire, located in the 1000 block of Cable Avenue, around 2:30 a.m. Smoke and flames were pouring from the home by the time firefighters arrived.

The blaze caused the backside of the home to collapse. The house was considered a total loss.

Investigators evacuated at least one nearby home.

Investigators ruled the fire arson but did not have any witnesses or people of interest in connection with the crime.
