Prosecutors and Columbus police say 19-year-old Eric Pearce-Robinson could be connected to as many as three rapes in the Columbus-area, though he has been charged in one case thus far.

The teen appeared before a judge on Friday and was held on a $2 million bond after his arrest a day ago.

Police said a forensic evidence report identified Pearce-Robinson as one of the suspects from a sexual assault in the area of Sullivant Avenue and South Burgess Avenue on May 19.  Evidence that identified Robinson as the attacker includes a ball cap and condom, according to his arrest warrant.

The assault on Sullivant Avenue is the most recent on the city's west side that police believe is connected to two other cases.

Speaking to 10TV on Thursday, the teen’s mother Melinda Pearce says she doesn’t believe the allegations against Eric, but didn’t hold back on her thoughts if she is proven wrong.

“I told him if I find out that you did it, I'll cut your thing off myself.”

Meantime, Columbus police are still looking for two other suspects in these attacks.  Anyone with information is asked to call police.
