INDIANAPOLIS — Cookie cakes sold in Walmart stores in more than a dozen states are being recalled due to allergy concerns.
The FDA announced the recall by Jimmy's Cookies LLC on Thursday. The company said Marketside Chocolate Candy Cookie Cakes shipped to certain Walmart stores may contain undeclared peanuts. Those who have an allergy or sensitivity to peanuts could experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The affected product, which has LOT# 1133 and a UPC of 0074736651210, was sold in the bakeries of Walmart stores in 23 states.
Those states include:
- North Carolina
- West Virginia
The cookie cake comes in a 12-by-12-inch container with a clear lid and a black and gold diamond label. The lot number is printed in black ink on the top of the package.
No illnesses have been reported, the FDA said.
