INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) -- A family on Indy’s west side calls it a Christmas miracle, their lost dog returned home after being missing for nearly 3 months.

Daisy went missing from Jackie Miller’s home on October 4. After handing out and posting flyers and checking animal shelters, she wasn’t sure if she’d see Daisy again.

“I was losing faith. I was actually losing faith and all I did was keep praying and I had other people praying that I would get her,” said Miller.

On Christmas Eve, Daisy was found by a woman in Clermont, about 8 miles away from her home. The woman was able to contact Daisy’s family who picked her up Christmas morning.

“I mean, it was amazing. I just bawled like a little baby,” said April, Jackie’s daughter. “It was like we found our family member.”

“God is good. He is. I know that it was God that brought her,” said Miller. “I wanted to thank them so much too because there are good people out there.”

Daisy was quite a bit skinnier than when she left. Her family says they're headed to the vet Thursday morning and a salon in Brownsburg, which has offered to a clean up for Daisy.
