Metro Parks hosting climbing wall festival at Scioto Audubon

A free community event is going to great heights and spanning 24 hours.

Metro Parks is opening up the climbing wall at Scioto Audubon this weekend for a festival.

Parks Director Tim Moloney has added a camping element to the 24-hour climbing festival so climbers can be there from sunset to sunrise.

If you're not experienced, there will be free clinics for beginners.

The event begins Saturday at noon.

It's free for all ages with food vendors and a beer garden.

The flim 'Everest' will be shown Saturday night.
