McDonald's adds 'Donut Sticks' to breakfast menu for a limited time

(WTHR) – McDonald's is adding Donut Sticks to their breakfast menu for a limited time.

The fast-food chain has been expanding its breakfast menu in recent years, while also offering some breakfast items all day.

The new Donut Sticks are made of "sweetened dough that are fried and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar" and will be offered during breakfast hours.

“We initially tested them in select Illinois restaurants in early 2018, and then again in October 2018, as it was critical that we perfected them before we brought them to our customers nationwide," said Linda VanGosen, McDonald’s Vice President of Menu Innovation, in a release.

According to Nation's Restaurant News, the average price of the Donut Sticks will be $1.69 for six or $3.29 for 12.

Donut Sticks make their debut February 20.
